Kansas City, MO (Sports Network) - St. Louis Rams starting cornerback Travis Fisher, who suffered a broken arm during Monday night's preseason game against Kansas City, underwent surgery on Wednesday for the injury.
According to head coach Mike Martz, there is no timetable for his return.
Fisher sustained the injury in the first half of Monday's 24-7 loss and it still remains unclear how the injury occurred.
Fisher, a second round pick by the Rams in the 2002 NFL draft, started 15 games last season and had four interceptions to tie for the team lead.
Rookie DeJuan Groce, from Nebraska, will move in as the starter in Fisher's absence.
