Pats DE Bailey done for season

Foxboro, MA (Sports Network) - The New England Patriots will be without Rodney Bailey for the 2004 season after the defensive end underwent surgery to repair a torn Achilles' tendon.

According to the Boston Globe, Bailey was placed on injured reserve and is expected to make a full recovery.

Bailey was acquired from the Pittsburgh Steelers in March. The 24-year-old Ohio State product has 45 tackles (34 solo) and 9.5 sacks in his career.

The Cleveland native was selected in the sixth round of the 2001 NFL Draft.
