Sopot, Poland (Sports Network) - Top-seeded French Open champion Anastasia Myskina of Russia withdrew from the Idea Prokom Open because of a nagging rib injury.

Myskina, who pulled out without explanation on Friday prior to her scheduled semifinal match, said at a news conference Saturday she wanted to be ready for the Olympics in Athens, Greece.

The 23-year-old Myskina was scheduled to face 11th-seeded Czech Klara Koukalova on Saturday. The match was originally slated for Friday but was postponed because of rain.

The new Sopot champion will claim $50,000. Koukalova was last year's runner-up to Israeli Anna Smashnova-Pistolesi.
