Kansas City, MO (Sports Network) - Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Marc Boerigter is scheduled to undergo knee surgery on Monday, which may sideline the third-year pro for the entire 2004 season.

Boerigter twisted his right knee during an exhibition game against the Cleveland Browns on Saturday night.

Kansas City has question marks at the wide receiver position this season, with starters Johnny Morton and Eddie Kennison both battling injuries during training camp.

Boerigter, a product of Hastings College, has 31 career catches for 578 yards and eight touchdowns. All eight touchdowns came during his rookie year of 2002.
