Coker said Rolle will play cornerback this season, even if Hester switches.

''Antrel could be an outstanding safety, but Antrel needs to be a corner for us,'' Coker said. ``We're not deep in that area. I don't anticipate a switch to safety. We're thinking about him being a great corner for us.''

• With senior Brock Berlin seemingly entrenched as the starting quarterback and freshman Kyle Wright considered UM's future, there is speculation by some UM followers that 2003 backup Derrick Crudup might change positions.

Sunday, Coker said Crudup was still a quarterback and ``was still pretty adamant about being quarterback.''

''Certainly, he hasn't said anything to me about wanting to play other positions,'' Coker said. ``Derrick is a talented athlete. There are probably other places he could play, but he wants to be a quarterback.''
