Kissimmee, FL (Sports Network) - Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Joe Jurevicius is scheduled to undergo back surgery on Tuesday.
Jurevicius will have a herniated disc repaired in Los Angeles and is out indefinitely. He was limited to just four games last season because of an MCL tear, compiling 118 yards and two touchdowns on 12 receptions.
"His back is not responding to treatment," Bucs head coach Jon Gruden said. "I don't know exactly how he did it. He's rehabbing his knee and evidently during the course of his rehab he has developed some lower back problems. He'll get that fixed and hopefully he'll make a speedy recovery."
The six-year pro out of Penn State was drafted by the New York Giants in 1998 and has 1,983 yards and 11 TDs on 151 career catches.
