Bengals agree to terms with Perry

Georgetown, KY (Sports Network) - The Cincinnati Bengals and first-round selection Chris Perry have agreed to terms on a contract.
According to the Bengals' website, Perry is expected to join his new teammates in training camp Tuesday afternoon. The 26th overall pick in the 2004 draft is expected to sign a six-year deal worth about $7 million.
Perry, a former Michigan standout, won the Doak Walker Award as the top collegiate running back in the nation last year. He was also a Heisman Trophy finalist.
Perry was named the Big Ten's Offensive Player of the Year after he gained 1,589 yards on the ground and added an additional 366 yards receiving this past season. His mark of 132.4 rushing yards per game was the fifth highest average in the nation.
