Bourbonnais, IL (Sports Network) - Chicago Bears starting left guard Rex Tucker will miss eight to 10 weeks after dislocating his left elbow.
Tucker, who will remain on the active roster, suffered the injury during Monday's practice. He could return for the Bears' fifth game of the season on October 17 versus Washington.
This is the third straight season that Tucker will miss action due to injury. He has played in only five games since signing a seven-year, $2 million contract before the 2002 season.
Ruben Brown will become the starting left guard in Tucker's absence, moving over from his starting right guard position. Mike Gandy will be inserted in Brown's place.
