Seahawks linebacker Brown sidelined with broken leg
Cheney, WA (Sports Network) - Seattle Seahawks starting linebacker Chad Brown suffered a broken left leg during practice on Monday and is expected to be sidelined for at least six weeks.
Brown broke a bone in his leg after getting his feet tangled with tight end Itula Mili during a passing drill.
The 34-year-old Brown is an 11-year NFL veteran, spending the last seven years of his career with the Seahawks following a four-year stint with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He played in 14 games last season, including 13 starts, and recorded 74 tackles, seven sacks and one interception.
In 156 career contests, the three-time Pro Bowl selection has totaled 749 tackles, 77 sacks and six interceptions.
