Cards' Anquan Boldin injures knee
Flagstaff, AZ (Sports Network) - Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin injured his right knee before practice on Tuesday.
Boldin, who missed a workout Monday because of soreness in the same knee, was hurt while running a pass pattern at half-speed in Tuesday warmups. He had to be carted off the field before practice began.
"His knee locked up on him," said Cardinals head coach Dennis Green. "It is not locked now, but they are running some extensive tests to see exactly what that was. He wasn't running, he was hardly jogging so I am sure something is going on inside but we won't know until all the tests are done."
Boldin was the unanimous choice as the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2003, when he finished with 101 receptions for 1,377 yards and eight touchdowns.
The 101 receptions placed him third in the league and were the most by a rookie in NFL history, topping Terry Glenn's 1996 record by 11 catches. His 1,377 receiving yards were the second-most in history by a rookie, trailing only Bill Groman's 1,473 for Houston in 1960.
