Bills' Henry leaves game with injury

Orchard Park, NY (Sports Network) - Buffalo Bills running back Travis Henry left Saturday's preseason game against the Tennessee Titans with an injury on the left side of his upper body.

Henry suffered the setback when he was hit hard by Tennessee linebacker Keith Bulluck while trying to catch a pass midway through the second quarter. Henry remained down on the ground for about five minutes before being helped off the field by a trainer. He then was carted away from the sideline and taken to the locker room.

X-rays on Henry's ribs were negative, according to the Bills.

Henry had seven carries for 27 yards and one reception for three yards before leaving the game.

The injury comes a day after a report surfaced that Buffalo backup running back Willis McGahee asked the team to trade him if he was not going to be the opening day starter.

However, Bills president Tom Donahoe told assembled media prior to the game that there was no truth to the report.

Henry started 15 games last season, rushing for 1,356 yards and 10 touchdowns on 331 carries. He ran for 1,438 yards and 13 TDs in 2002.
